Question

Promo code didn't apply, did i just lose the bonus?

so i signed up last night, had a promo code copied from a link a buddy sent me and i swear i pasted it in but nothing showed up. deposited $50 and placed a bet on the celtics game before i even checked. now my account says no active promotions. is there a way to add the code after the fact or am i just cooked? first time doing any of this and im already annoyed lol

can confirm on the support thing. i emailed them literally 6 hours after signup, explained i pasted the code but it didn't stick, and they credited the $100 in bonus bets 2 days later. wasn't even a fight, the rep just said "i see the code in your registration attempt" and did it. worth the 3 minutes

fwiw there's a difference between a promo code and a promo link. a lot of the affiliate stuff these days is link-only, the code is basically cosmetic. if you click through and the site doesn't auto-fill anything in the code field it usually means the offer is already attached to your session via cookie. so typing a random code you found on a forum into a fresh session can actually override the better offer sometimes

One thing nobody mentions: the state matters. Offers in NY, NJ and Ohio are often different from the national one you see advertised on tv. I moved from Pennsylvania to Michigan and the same book had a completely different welcome offer, code was invalid until I updated my address. Check the fine print for your state before you get mad at the code.

wait so if i already have an account from like 2021 that i never used, can i still use a signup code? or is that only for brand new accounts

only brand new accounts basically. welcome offers are one per person per book, tied to your ssn not the email. if the old account was never funded some books will let you claim it as a "first deposit" but that's a support conversation, not something the code box will handle. you could check if they have a reactivation promo though, i got $20 in bonus bets for logging back into an old account i forgot about

reading the terms takes 90 seconds and saves so much frustration. mine said first bet must settle within 30 days, min odds -200, bonus bets expire in 7 days, non withdrawable stake. that last part gets people, if you bet a $50 bonus bet at +150 you get $75 back not $125. figured that out the hard way

idk this whole thing smells a bit. "bet $5 get $200" and then you find out it's 8 separate $25 tokens that expire in a week at min odds. feels like the code is just a hook to get you depositing and 90% of people never actually clear the thing

i mean sure it's marketing but it's not fake. i cleared mine. $5 bet on a moneyline, lost it, got 8 tokens, used them over the week on nba props and cashed out $137 real dollars that i withdrew to my bank. took maybe 20 min of my time total. it's not free money exactly but it's not a scam either, you just have to actually use them before they expire

small thing that got me: don't have the app and the desktop site open at the same time during signup. i had the promo link open in chrome and then finished registration in the app and the code just vanished. support said the session got split. now i just do the whole thing in one place start to finish

my complaint is the codes that are technically live but the offer changed. i used a code i saw in a youtube video from october, it accepted the code no error, and the bonus i got was $50 instead of the $150 advertised. nobody tells you the code is stale, it just quietly gives you the current version. chat support basically shrugged at me and said the site terms supersede third party content. cool, thanks

that's annoying but at least you got something. i've had a code straight up error out with "invalid" and lose my whole form, had to retype my ssn and address again. the stale code thing is on the youtubers honestly, half of them never update their descriptions and they're getting paid per signup either way

OP here, update for anyone who finds this later. i did the live chat thing like you guys said, took about 15 min of waiting and the rep applied the offer manually since it was under 24h. got $150 in bonus bets. already burned $75 of it on a bad parlay but hey. thanks all, also yes i now read the terms first like a functional adult
