Which sportsbook is best for live betting?

so ive been doing mostly pre-game bets for like a year now but want to get into live betting more. tried it a few times on my current book and the odds update SO slow, by the time i click the lag screws me over. anyone got recommendations for books that actually have decent live betting? mainly bet on nba and nfl if that matters

honestly live betting is a whole different game and you need a book thats actually built for it. i switched to My Bookie like 6 months ago specifically for live and the difference is night and day. odds update quick, rarely get that annoying "odds changed" popup that rejects your bet. the interface is clean too so you can actually see whats happening without scrolling forever. for nba especially the live lines stay pretty sharp imo. just make sure your wifi is solid because even the best book cant fix lag on your end lol

can confirm this, was in the same boat as OP. live betting on slower books is basically throwing money away because you're always getting worse odds than you think. made the switch too and its way better, actually feels fair now

Man live betting has been brutal for me lately no matter what book. The juice on live lines is insane, feels like they just crank it up to -130 on everything. Plus half the markets disappear right when something interesting happens in the game. Starting to think live betting is just designed to take your money faster

Thats fair but tbh thats been my experience with the bigger mainstream books mostly. Some of the offshore options keep markets open longer and have better juice. Not saying its perfect but I've definitely had stretches where live betting was profitable. Maybe depends on what sports and what bet types you're going for?

fwiw i read that a lot of books use different providers for their live odds feeds so the speed difference is actually a backend thing not just the app. some books pay for premium feeds others use cheaper ones. might explain why some feel so much faster than others

One thing I noticed is that live betting on player props is way harder to find good value on compared to spreads and totals. The books seem to have those dialed in better. Spreads during games can still have some soft spots especially if theres a big momentum swing and the line hasnt caught up yet

depends on the book but usually its the same. i exclusively use mobile and never had issues. some people swear desktop is faster but i think thats placebo honestly. just make sure youre not on cellular data during peak times, wifi is way more stable

idk how people are actually profitable live betting. like the books have algorithms and real time data feeds and youre sitting there watching a delayed stream trying to beat them? seems like a losing battle long term tbh

Nah bro its not about beating the algorithm its about finding spots where the line is slow to adjust. Happens all the time especially in lower profile games. I make most of my profit from live betting college basketball because the lines are softer than nba. You just gotta know the sport well enough to recognize when a lines off

something to consider is that different books have different bet limits on live too. some will let you hammer big amounts others cap you at like $50 if you start winning. worth checking before you commit to one

yeah most of the bigger ones do now. the cashout value is usually not great though, they take a cut. sometimes worth it if games going sideways but i usually just let it ride personally

One thing nobody mentioned yet is that some books lock you out of live betting if you win too much. Happened to a buddy of mine, he was crushing nfl live bets for like 2 months then suddenly his max bet dropped to nothing. Something to keep in mind if you actually get good at it

came here to echo what top comment said. the speed thing is everything for live. i used to think i was just bad at live betting turns out my old book was just trash. switched up and now its actually enjoyable
