Question

Got my account closed after 3 months, no explanation??

so i wake up monday and my account is just gone. cant log in, get an email saying "account closed per section 4 of our terms" and thats it. i had $340 in there. i wasnt doing anything weird, mostly NBA player props and some MLB run lines. bet sizes like $20-50. asked support twice and got the same copy paste. am i just cooked here or is there something i can actually do? EDIT: they emailed back saying the balance will be sent by check in 7-10 business days, so at least im getting the money. still no reason given tho.

can confirm the spreading out thing. i got limited (not closed) on one book after cashing a few NHL alt lines and now i just have 4 apps. takes 30 extra seconds to shop lines and honestly i make more money now because im not just taking whatever number one place gives me. silver lining i guess

fwiw the "section 4" language is usually the generic account termination clause. books in the US can close you for pretty much anything: sharp play, matched betting, promo abuse, multiple accounts from one household, duplicate payment method, or just failing a KYC check they ran again for no reason. legally the only thing they owe you is the money in the account (and in most regulated states the commission will enforce that). no reason required.

idk if i buy the "you were too good" thing. $20-50 props for 3 months? thats not exactly a syndicate. way more likely something on the account side, like a name mismatch or someone else on the same wifi/ip. everybody who gets closed thinks its because they were beating the book lol

i thought the same at first but its not about volume, its about which side of the line you're on and when. i was betting $25 a pop and got the boot. their risk software doesnt care that youre small, it cares that youre first to the number. if you're consistently getting +140 on something that closes -110 that shows up in the reports no matter the stake size. thats not me flexing, it just means they'd rather lose 12 customers than keep a bot-follower

wait so if this happens does it hit your other accounts too? like do they share a blacklist between books

not really, no. the books arent sharing a naughty list with each other, competition rules and privacy stuff make that messy. BUT a lot of them use the same third party risk/geolocation vendors, so if you're flagged as a certain profile you can get limited faster at a new place. also if two books are run by the same parent company or on the same platform, then yeah, one closure can absolutely follow you

for what its worth, if you're in a regulated state you can file a complaint with the gaming commission. NJ DGE and the Michigan board actually respond. they wont force the book to reopen your account (they cant) but they will make sure you get paid out. i did that in jersey when a book sat on $1,100 for 5 weeks and it was in my bank 9 days after i filed

one thing nobody mentions: check if you ever deposited with a card that isnt in your legal name. my brother in law used my old venmo linked card once because his got declined and 6 weeks later account gone, closed for "payment irregularity." completely innocent but it looks like account sharing on their end

how long did the check actually take for you guys? mine says 7-10 business days too and im at day 12

mine took 19 days. postmarked from a processing center in a totally different state. if you hit 30 days start emailing every 3 days with the same subject line so it stays on one ticket, thats what finally got someone to actually look at mine instead of the bot reply

the thing that gets people isnt sharp betting, its promos. bonus bets, odds boosts, profit boost tokens. if you only ever bet when theres a boost and you never touch anything else, the pattern is screaming at them. i know a guy who did nothing but the daily boosted parlays for 4 months, made maybe $600 total, closed. meanwhile im down like 2 grand on Bengals futures and they keep sending me $50 free bets lol

dumb question but does a closed account mess with taxes? i had winnings this year on that book and now i cant get to my history

they still have to send you the W-2G if you hit the thresholds, closed account or not, so watch your mail in january. for your own bet history email support and ask specifically for an "account statement for tax purposes" - that phrasing got me a csv within a week when the normal request got ignored. also just start screenshotting your yearly summary every few months, learned that one the hard way

OP here, check showed up day 16, full $340. still never got a reason and at this point i dont care. opened accounts at two other places, keeping the bet sizes similar and throwing in some parlays like people said here so i dont look like a robot. thanks all, genuinely thought i was getting stiffed
