Can confirm this. I live in NJ and we have tons of options here. You'll actually probably have MORE apps available than you're used to. Just download fresh when you get here and you should be good

wait so if i have an account already from when i lived in PA can i just log into that same account in a different state or do i need a whole new one?

yeah you can use the same account usually, the app just checks your location when you try to place a bet. so your account travels with you but you can only bet when youre physically in a legal state

FYI the geolocation thing is a federal requirement. Each state has their own licensing so the apps have to verify you're actually in that state before letting you wager. It's called geofencing. Some states have agreements with each other but most don't so you'll need state-specific apps.

idk man i tried betting when i was in vegas last year and my app kept glitching out saying i wasnt in nevada even though i clearly was. these geolocation things seem super unreliable tbh

That's usually a GPS issue on your end not the app. Make sure you're not connected to a VPN and that your phone's location is set to high accuracy mode. I had the same problem until I realized my VPN was still running in the background. Works fine now every time I travel.

honestly the whole state by state thing is so annoying. drove through like 4 states last month and had to keep switching apps and couldnt even bet for half the drive. this country needs to figure out federal legalization already its ridiculous

I mean that sucks but also maybe don't bet while driving? Lol. But seriously it's getting better, more states are legalizing every year. When I started you could only bet in like 3 states, now there's what 30+? Just gotta be patient.

For what its worth OP, New Jersey was actually one of the first states to legalize after the Supreme Court ruling in 2018. They have a really mature market there so youll have plenty of options. Just download whatever apps you want once you land and make sure to set up your account with your real info for verification purposes.

yep exactly what everyone else said. traveled to NJ for a wedding last spring and had zero issues betting there. way better than my home state honestly. enjoy it while youre there lol
