Question

Are betting tipsters and picks services actually legit or all scams?

so i keep seeing these guys on twitter and telegram claiming like 70%+ win rates and showing their betting slips. been thinking about paying for one of these services but idk man feels sketchy. anyone actually used these things and made money or is it all bs? just tired of losing on my own picks lol

yeah this is facts. i paid for like 3 different discord services last year and only one was remotely decent. guy hit maybe 55% which sounds bad but actually made profit long term. the other two were absolute jokes, one dude literally went 2-9 my first week and then blamed it on variance lmao

Something to consider - even if a tipster IS legitimate and hits 55%, you still need proper bankroll management to actually profit. Most people following picks will go broke anyway because they chase losses or bet too much per play. The service is only one piece of the puzzle.

fwiw theres websites that actually verify tipster records like betstamp and such. if someone isnt willing to post verified records thats pretty telling. doesnt guarantee theyre good but at least you know they arent faking screenshots

idk man even the "verified" guys seem suspicious to me. whats stopping them from running multiple accounts and only promoting the one that gets lucky? survivorship bias is real. for every tipster showing profit theres probably 50 that went bust quietly

Nah that theory doesn't really hold up when you look at guys with 2000+ tracked picks over multiple years. You can't fake a sample size that large. The real issue is most people don't want to pay for the actually verified services because they're more expensive than the flashy telegram scammers.

one thing nobody mentions is that even legit tipsters can have bad runs that last months. saw a verified guy go down 40 units over 3 months before bouncing back. most subscribers would have quit and called him a scam by then

honestly this whole industry is predatory garbage. i spent probably $500 on various pick services over 2 years and lost way more following their plays than i ever would have just betting casually myself. these guys make their money from subs not from betting, think about that

that sucks but tbh it sounds like you maybe picked bad services or had bad BRM. ive been following one guy for 8 months now whos verified on multiple platforms and im up like 15 units. not life changing but definitely profitable. gotta do your homework before paying anyone

wait so if a tipster hits 55% how is that even profitable? isn't that barely above 50/50?

Because of the vig you need around 52.4% to break even on -110 odds. So 55% is actually a solid edge. Over hundreds of bets that compounds into real profit. Its not sexy but its math.

the free tipsters on twitter are honestly just as good as paid ones in my experience. theres some sharp guys who just post plays for engagement. why pay when theres free content everywhere

do any of these services actually work for stuff like player props or is it mostly just spreads and totals?

props are actually where some guys crush it bc the lines are softer. theres less sharp money on player props so edges last longer. seen a few prop specialists with crazy ROI but sample sizes are usually smaller so harder to verify if its skill or luck

completely agree with the top comment here. spent years chasing tipsters before realizing the real money is in finding your own edges and line shopping properly. once you understand closing line value everything else clicks. most paid picks are just selling confidence to people who dont want to do the work
